Lukka Appoints Dan Torrey to Lead Institutional Sales

Lukka appoints Dan Torrey to Lead Institutional Sales

Torrey joins as Head of Institutional Sales for Lukka as sales team and operations are scaled.

Lukka has appointed Dan Torrey as Head of Institutional Sales. In his new role, Torrey will oversee and drive all major sales initiatives, lead in the continued build-out of Lukka’s sales teams, and help drive new revenue from Lukka’s institutional customer base.

We are excited to welcome Dan as the newest member of the Lukka team. He brings over 25 years of sales experience to Lukka, having held senior sales leadership roles on both Wall Street and in the crypto ecosystem. Torrey was formerly Head of Institutional Sales at Genesis Global Capital, where he led institutional sales efforts for the Americas region. Previous to Genesis, he was Global Head of FX E-Commerce Sales at Northern Trust, a leading global custodian bank servicing a broad range of institutional clients.

Lukka is the undisputed leader in providing firms with software and data solutions – from key pricing and reference data to comprehensive middle and back office tools that allow our clients to focus on running their businesses, said Dan Torrey, Head of Institutional Sales.I’m very excited to join this world-class team and continue to contribute to the growth of Lukka and the crypto asset ecosystem.

Our strategy is to focus on hiring experienced professionals from both traditional finance and the crypto asset industry. This truly allows us to bridge the gap of the two worlds. Dan follows other senior leaders at Lukka with experience in traditional financial markets.

Lukka’s Executive Chairman of the Board, Nick Ogurtsov (previously co-CEO), prior to Lukka was COO and CRO of KCG Holdings, a publicly traded market-making firm that transacted in 10%-15% of daily volume in US equities and also served on DTCC’s Board of Directors for many years.

We will continue to bring on experienced, senior leaders as we build out key functions within the company. This will become increasingly important as we gain more traditional financial institutions as partners and customers and continue to bridge the gap between traditional finance and the crypto asset ecosystem.
