It was a night to remember.
Global Custodian’s Industry Leaders Awards took place November 7th at Chelsea Piers in NYC, in proximity to where their first magazine was printed, back in 1989. This was their 30th year of recognizing international leaders in fund administration, prime brokerage, securities lending, custody, and market infrastructure that powers the institutional market.
Lukka is deeply honored to have been recognized with the Global Custodian’s “Innovation in Digitalized Fund Services” award and be in the mix with long-time Wall Street giants, including BNY Mellon, Morgan Stanley, Broadridge, and Wells Fargo as well as technology pioneers Arcesium and Viteos. For Lukka, this award signifies more than just our company’s accomplishment of creating the industry’s leading middle and back office solutions for crypto assets. It reflects the institutional market’s broader adoption of crypto assets and validates the promise of efficiency, security and opportunity for this rapidly evolving asset class. In an extremely fragmented ecosystem, Lukka has worked hard to create the necessary core processing components that now provide fundamental capabilities that institutions have come to expect in mature asset classes. Methodologies for determining fair market value for assets, striking daily NAV, seamlessly calculating cost basis as the backbone for financial and tax reporting are now table stakes for funds, fund admins, exchanges, OTC trading desks, accounting firms using Lukka.
In addition to the ongoing development of leading-edge, proprietary technology for collecting, enriching, and normalizing crypto transactional data, the development of Lukka’s talented team is what has made the clear difference when considering the true impact of Global Custodian’s award. The caliber of each of our engineers, product development, and customer success teams enable Lukka to deliver our solutions in a myriad of ways. Our team’s hybrid background in new technology, guided by their experience at established companies, provides key insight into the right blend of innovation and adoption.
Whether it be via our own pre-configured applications like Lukka Crypto Office, Lukka Reference Data, or Lukka Pricing and Valuation, or providing our data via SDK for third-parties to develop Lukka applications, or delivering our API for clients to build whatever product they require, we understand the intricacies of our client’s needs because we’ve sat in their seats.
“You’re not obligated to win. You’re obligated to keep trying. To the best you can do every day.” ― Jason Mraz
